Betslayer Review: An Honest Opinion | Is it Worth the Price in 2024?

Interested in a comprehensive analysis of Betslayer’s arbitrage betting software? Well, in this Betslayer review, I will be taking a detailed look at their sure betting software!

Since starting up in 2015, Betslayer have rapidly become one of the most popular software providers in the arbitrage betting market.

And with good reason too! They provide a decent arbitrage betting platform at a much lower price than the other big players.

They offer a crisp, modern interface with a good number of features and options that allow you to tweak the software to make it work as you please.

However, it isn’t all good news. There are a few major drawbacks to the Betslayer software that we will discuss in detail further on in this review. I recommend that you hold off on purchasing until you have read this review in full!

Well, let’s get into it!

What are the Most Important Factors When Choosing Arbitrage Betting Software?

Here are the most important things to look out for when choosing the best sports arbitrage betting software for you!

Price

There's no getting around it - arbitrage betting software can be very expensive!

Premium software can cost upwards of €100/month, so if you are only planning on making a couple of arbitrage bets here and there, it is unlikely that you will even be able to recover the cost of the software!

Consider how much time and starting capital you have to invest in arbitrage betting before deciding on a software package.

How many sports does it cover?

Some arb finders cover as few as 5 sports, while others cover as many as 35! No prizes for guessing which one produces more arbs for their customers…

Note, however, that the vast majority of arbs are produced by the world’s most popular 5-10 sports, so having loads of sports is not always that much of an advantage.

How many bookmakers does it cover?

This is an important one. More bookmakers means more arbs, more profitable arbs (more likely to find better odds with more bookmakers) but most importantly, more options for you to sign up to if and when your accounts eventually start getting limited.

More potential bookmakers means a longer career in sports arbitrage betting.

How quickly does the arb feed refresh?

Many arbitrage bets disappear within a few minutes of being discovered by the software packages. This means that it is imperative that you are getting access to the arbitrage betting opportunities as they are being discovered.

Integrated betting calculator

The arbitrage software should include a built in betting calculator that automatically calculates the necessary stakes for each leg of the arbitrage bet to ensure that you lock in the profit.

Ideally, they should include options for rounding your stakes to avoid suspicion with the bookmakers as well as biasing your stakes to favour a particular outcome that you believe has value.

Standard and advanced arb types

A good arbitrage betting software will include middles (negative and even Polish) as well as cross-market arbitrage bets.

These advanced arb types tend to last longer and be less easily detected by the bookmakers than standard arbs, so I highly recommend that you get software that can find them.

Defensive arbing features

As we have discussed many times, having your accounts limited or closed is one of the greatest risks for an arbitrage bettor. Some arbitrage betting software now have features to hide your arbitrage activity.

This can include separate dedicated web browsers only for betting (to stop the bookmakers tracking you via social media and other trackers) as well as automatic cookie and cache clearing at the start and end of each betting session.

Having these features will again prolong your career as an arbitrage bettor, so they are definitely worthwhile having.

Betslayer Review - How does it Fare?

Betslayer fares reasonably well on the criteria discussed above.

Here are the main pros and cons of the Betslayer software.

Pros
  • Clean, uncluttered interface
  • Built in Profit Tracker
  • Much cheaper than the other top-tier arbitrage betting software
  • Live arbs included for free
  • Bookmaker to exchange arbs filtering is good
Cons
  • Only 25 bookmakers available
  • Few arbs found
  • Bookmakers odds comparison not great

Layout and Interface

Opening up Betslayer, you are greeted with a clean, modern interface, which is a refreshing change from some of the other arbitrage betting software that I have reviewed (I’m looking at you, BetBurger and OddStorm).

Potential arbs are displayed along the left and the selected arb details displayed on the right. Nothing too groundbreaking here, but at a glance, it is very easy to see what is going on, which is very important.

Bookmaker Odds Comparison

In my opinion, the way in which the various bookmaker odds are displayed and compared is a key part of any arbitrage software.

When the odds are displayed in a simple, easily understood manner it is clear:

  • What order you should place your bets in
  • What your backup options are if a particular bet is rejected
  • Whether you can still form an arbitrage opportunity even if one bet is rejected
  • How safe it is to pursue that particular arb

I think many people overlook the importance of this when choosing their arbitrage software.

Stadium

When you are actually arbitrage betting with your own money, you need to be able to place a number of high stake bets in quick succession without making any mistakes with regards to the match (including time and location), teams/players, betting market, bookmakers and stakes.

Any mistakes here can be extremely costly.

Betslayer offers a decent but imperfect display and comparison of the bookmaker odds for a particular match.

BetSlayer review

In the arb details panel, you can see the odds available at the various bookmakers by clicking on a dropdown menu. While this is better than some of the other software available, it’s still not as simple and intuitive as RebelBetting, for example.

It’s not clear at a glance what order you should place your bets in, whether the arb hinges entirely on a single bookmaker or whether there are backup options and really how safe it is to pursue that arb.

I think that Betslayer could really improve this part of their software.

Number of Arbs Found

The thing that struck me the most using this software was how few arbs there were. I logged into a number of the major arbitrage betting software simultaneously and Betslayer had by far the fewest number of arbs available.

BetOnValue, for example, found 10 times more arbs than Betslayer.

This is not surprising when you consider that Betslayer only covers around  25 bookmakers, however.

Unfortunately, they are always going to have fewer arbs than their competitors.

To be honest, this is really the greatest weakness in Betslayer's otherwise very good offering. If they could add a few more bookmakers and sports, I would be able to recommend them more highly.

The bookmakers they do support are the largest and most popular ones, so if you are a casual arber and are interested in placing a few bets here and there, this may not bother you at all.

If you are serious about sports arbitrage betting, however, you may find yourself running out of suitable arbitrage bets periodically, especially if you use quite restrictive filters.

Features

Integrated Betting Calculator and Profit Tracker

In the arb details panel, there is a built-in arbitrage betting calculator with the ability to round stakes, as well as save the bet into the Betslayer profit tracker, which can be used to track your progress over time.

Unfortunately, the betting calculator doesn’t offer the ability to bias your bets to favour a particular outcome.

However, it does allow for stake rounding, which is essential to disguise your arbitrage activity from the bookmakers.

Live Arbs

There is also the ability to enable live arbs, although this is recommended for experienced arbitrage bettors only.

The odds can change very quickly for live matches, so there is the potential for high profits, but if you are not fast, you can be caught out easily and leave yourself exposed to potential losses.

Including live arbs in their default package is quite a generous move from Betslayer, considering that other software providers typically charge double the price to include live arbs as well as prematch arbs.

Filtering

Low profit bookmaker to exchange based arbs can be easily filtered out by setting a minimum sum for the amount of money on the exchange ready to be matched.

This can stop you from being notified about seemingly high profit margin arbs that only have £5 ready to be matched on the exchange.

This is a clever idea and something quite unique to Betslayer.

Stadium

Add to Bet Slip

These days, this is pretty much expected of arbitrage betting software, but yes, Betslayer does allow you to navigate directly from their software to the bookmaker websites.

The software will open up the relevant bookmaker sites on the correct page for that match with the stake auto-filled based on your entries in the integrated betting calculator.

You simply need to confirm the match (date/time, location and teams) as well as the stakes. Place your bets and you are done! Very easy.

Does Betslayer have a Forum?

Unfortunately, unlike some of its competitors, Betslayer does not have a user forum where you can discuss issues with the software or arbitrage betting ideas with fellow users.

Pricing

A month’s subscription with Betslayer will cost you £49, which is substantially cheaper than most of the other packages.

BetSlayer pricing

This is the major selling point for Betslayer. They offer a premium arbitrage betting software for about half the price of their competitors (on a monthly basis).

Many people are understandably hesitant about spending large sums on arbitrage software before they have seen any real profits, so that makes Betslayer quite an attractive option.

On top of this, they offer a free 7 day trial with full, unrestricted access to their software. This is a fantastic way of figuring out if it is right for you before committing to a purchase.

Account Freezing

You can freeze your Betslayer subscription up to 3 times in a 12 month period, for a maximum of 2 months per freeze.

This can be very handy if you are going on holiday or will otherwise be taking a break from arbing but don’t want to waste your subscription in the meantime.

You can also transfer your subscription to another person. If you find that many of your betting accounts have been limited down the track, you can pass your account onto a friend or relative who is interested in arbitrage betting.

Is there a promo code?

At the time of writing, there are no promo or discount codes available for Betslayer unfortunately.

If they run any sales or promotions, I will link to the Betslayer website with the promo code embedded via the button below.

Betslayer Review - Conclusion

Betslayer offers a great package and is a decent choice for an arbitrage betting software.

They have a nice, clean interface, built in profit tracker, free live arbs functionality, all at a much lower price than their competition.

I just wish they would include a few more bookmakers and sports to ensure that there are plenty of arbs on offer at all times.

If you are planning on doing arbitrage betting to make a bit of spare cash every now and then, this won’t bother you as there are still definitely enough arbitrage bets on offer for this.

In fact, if you are just a casual arber, I highly recommend Betslayer as it hits the sweet spot of low subscription price, good interface and layout, and reasonable number of arbs on offer.

Casual arbers will struggle to make much profit after paying the monthly subscription fee for the likes of RebelBetting, so Betslayer is a fantastic alternative in this situation.

If you are serious about arbitrage betting and are planning on placing more than 100 arbitrage bets a month, RebelBetting may be a more suitable alternative for you.

About the author

I'm an Australian guy who has used profitable sports betting to provide a decent side income (over a thousand dollars per month!) for myself while working full-time. I've set up the The Arb Academy to teach others how to do the same and achieve financial security through a second income stream!

  • Don’t give them your Credit Card #. Paid for Betslayer 3 years ago … didn’t work out for me so I cancelled. Last year they put through a Credit Card Charge for $169. CAD. Eventually had it reversed. This year June 8th, they put though ANOTHER CHARGE!!!! Have today cancelled my Credit Card and they have initiated a Fraud Investigation. Bad actors!!! Seems like they are trying to SCAM people who don’t notice the recurrent charges.

    • Hi Mike,

I’m really sorry to hear about your bad experience with BetSlayer. I hope that this is some kind of mistake on their part and not deliberate credit card fraud. Please keep us updated on what happens.
