After having reviewed some of the big players in the arbitrage betting software industry, I will now review Breaking Bet - a relative newcomer.
Breaking Bet was officially released in 2018 and has quickly gained quite a following. I can understand why - it offers an excellent arbitrage betting software package for an incredibly low price.
Sure, it doesn’t have quite as many bookmakers or features and frills as the top-tier software, but it more than makes up for that by providing its software at bargain basement prices. It is currently priced 90% cheaper than the likes of RebelBetting, BetBurger and OddStorm.
So the price makes BreakingBet very attractive, but what exactly are you missing out on by going with them over one of their competitors?

What are the Most Important Factors When Choosing Arbitrage Betting Software?
Here are the most important things to look out for when choosing the best sports arbitrage betting software for you!
Price
There's no getting around it - arbitrage betting software can be very expensive!
Premium software can cost upwards of €100/month, so if you are only planning on making a couple of arbitrage bets here and there, it is unlikely that you will even be able to recover the cost of the software!
Consider how much time and starting capital you have to invest in arbitrage betting before deciding on a software package.
How many sports does it cover?
Some arb finders cover as few as 5 sports, while others cover as many as 35! No prizes for guessing which one produces more arbs for their customers…
Note, however, that the vast majority of arbs are produced by the world’s most popular 5-10 sports, so having loads of sports is not always that much of an advantage.
How many bookmakers does it cover?
This is an important one. More bookmakers means more arbs, more profitable arbs (more likely to find better odds with more bookmakers) but most importantly, more options for you to sign up to if and when your accounts eventually start getting limited.
More potential bookmakers means a longer career in sports arbitrage betting.
How quickly does the arb feed refresh?
Many arbitrage bets disappear within a few minutes of being discovered by the software packages. This means that it is imperative that you are getting access to the arbitrage betting opportunities as they are being discovered.
Integrated betting calculator
The arbitrage software should include a built in betting calculator that automatically calculates the necessary stakes for each leg of the arbitrage bet to ensure that you lock in the profit.
Ideally, they should include options for rounding your stakes to avoid suspicion with the bookmakers as well as biasing your stakes to favour a particular outcome that you believe has value.
Standard and advanced arb types
A good arbitrage betting software will include middles (negative and even Polish) as well as cross-market arbitrage bets.
These advanced arb types tend to last longer and be less easily detected by the bookmakers than standard arbs, so I highly recommend that you get software that can find them.
Defensive arbing features
As we have discussed many times, having your accounts limited or closed is one of the greatest risks for an arbitrage bettor. Some arbitrage betting software now have features to hide your arbitrage activity.
This can include separate dedicated web browsers only for betting (to stop the bookmakers tracking you via social media and other trackers) as well as automatic cookie and cache clearing at the start and end of each betting session.
Having these features will again prolong your career as an arbitrage bettor, so they are definitely worthwhile having.

Layout and Interface
The BreakingBet interface is fairly straightforward and simple (that’s a good thing!). Arbitrage bets are displayed in rows, sorted by profit margin by default (displayed in the top left hand corner).
The age of the arbitrage bet, bookmakers, start time of the match and the teams involved are also on the left.
The relevant odds and the betting market type are displayed on the right.
Bookmaker Odds Comparison
In my opinion, the way in which the various bookmaker odds are displayed and compared is a key part of any arbitrage software.
When the odds are displayed in a simple, easily understood manner it is clear:
- What order you should place your bets in
- What your backup options are if a particular bet is rejected
- Whether you can still form an arbitrage opportunity even if one bet is rejected
- How safe it is to pursue that particular arb
I think many people overlook the importance of this when choosing their arbitrage software.
When you are actually arbitrage betting with your own money, you need to be able to place a number of high stake bets in quick succession without making any mistakes with regards to the match (including time and location), teams/players, betting market, bookmakers and stakes.
Any mistakes here can be extremely costly.
I find the way that the various bookmaker odds are displayed for a particular match a little confusing. Every possible combination of bookmaker odds that constitutes an arbitrage bet is displayed as a separate arb (albeit grouped), which is confusing.
I would prefer it if all bookmaker odds for a particular match were displayed in a table together.
Number of Arbs Found
BreakingBet covers 40 bookmakers and 11 sports which isn’t fantastic, but also not terrible.
Despite this, I found that it had a very high number of arbs on offer! It produced as many, if not more arbitrage bets than many of the top-tier arbitrage betting software.
As long as you have accounts with a decent number of the bookmakers covered by BreakingBet, I think you will find it hard to run out of arbs, even if you are quite selective with your filtering.
This is great for new arbers with only a few bookmaker accounts and also experienced arbers that want to go after only a very selective type of arb (usually an arb type that they think will not be obvious to the bookmaker).

Features
Filtering
You can filter the arbs displayed by bookmaker, which means that you can just select bookmakers that you have accounts with.
You can set bookmakers to either enabled, required or disabled. Setting a bookmaker to required means that only arbs that involve them will be displayed.
This is useful when you have an accumulation of funds at one particular bookmaker that you want to put to work, or when you are trying to fulfill the rollover requirements of a bonus bet.
Arbs can also be filtered by sport type, betting market type and profit margin.
Value Betting
BreakingBet includes value bets for free. Value betting is typically offered as a separate product for an additional cost, but BreakingBet includes them for free!
If you aren’t sure what these are, don’t worry, they are not recommended for beginners. If you are a more experienced arber, however, you might be interested in taking advantage of this.
Integrated Betting Calculator
BreakingBet’s arbitrage betting calculator has a surprising number of features that you wouldn’t expect a budget level software package like this to include!
It has automatic stake calculation and you can manually enter either the stake for a single bet, or the total stake that you wish to wager. These are standard features for any arbitrage betting calculator.
However, it also allows for biasing of your bets to favour one or more particular outcomes (if you believe that they are good value) and rounding of your stakes to avoid suspicion with bookmakers (rounding can be done to a custom value).
Custom betting exchange commission percentages can be entered, and intercurrency arbitrage bets can even be calculated by using the built in BreakingBet exchange rates or by setting your own custom exchange rates.
This can be useful if you have separate bookmaker accounts funded with different currencies.
It is very rare to get an arbitrage betting calculator with such a high number of features!

BreakingBet is available in the following languages:

Otherwise, BreakingBet isn’t particularly feature-rich but it’s certainly enough to get started with sports arbitrage betting.
Pricing
Pricing is the major selling point for BreakingBet. It offers all of the bookmakers and features listed above for only €12 per month, which is an absolute steal in my opinion.
If you are on a budget and want to try out an arbitrage bet finder without spending a lot of money, I highly recommend that you try BreakingBet.

You can freeze your BreakingBet subscription at any time to avoid wasting money while you aren’t able to place any arbitrage bets.
This is very useful if you are on holiday or otherwise wish to take a break from sports arbitrage betting.
Breaking Bet Review - Conclusion
BreakingBet is a really impressive service. They have managed to develop a high quality arbitrage betting software with all the essential features, at an incredibly low price.
They don’t have some of the more advanced features that the top-tier software packages have, but to be honest, as a beginner arbitrage bettor, you are unlikely to take advantage of these features anyway.
Stripping the software back to the essential features can be seen as a benefit as it is unlikely to overwhelm you if you are new to arbitrage betting.
I genuinely think that BreakingBet could be the best arbitrage betting software for beginners on a budget.
The biggest drawback with BreakingBet at the moment is the number of bookmakers covered.
40 bookmakers is not a small number, but as they cover a number of regional bookmakers (they have a number of Africa specific bookies), there may not be too many local bookmakers from your country that are covered by BreakingBet.
In any case, you can’t go wrong with such a low price. I highly recommend that you pick up a 1 month subscription to BreakingBet and give them a go!
