6 Free Arbitrage Betting Software / Finders – Complete List [2024]

So, you’re sick of spending hours trying to manually find surebets, but not quite ready to pay the hefty monthly fee required for premium arbing software? Well, I've got you covered. Strap in, because today we are going to be taking a deep dive into the world of free arbitrage betting software!

I have spent hours upon hours comparing each of the major free sports arbitrage software and in this article I will compare them all against each other and let you know which one reigns supreme!

By the end of this article, you’ll have access to the top free surebet finder available, feeding you a steady stream of free arbitrage bets!

Note: Don't have time to read the full article? My recommendation for the #1 free arbitrage betting software is RebelBetting.

They have the most user friendly interface, cover plenty of bookmakers and sports, and there's no delay on the feed of arbs. There's also no time limit, so you can use the free version for as long as you want!

What is the Purpose of Arbitrage Software?

Sports arbitrage software analyses the odds provided by tens of bookmakers for hundreds of sports, tournaments and leagues.

If an arbitrage betting opportunity is discovered while comparing these odds, the software will send you an alert, which includes information about the relevant match, bookies and betting market for that arb. [1]

It will tell you precisely how much to bet on each outcome and how much profit to expect.

Free Arbitrage Software

Compared to manually searching for arbitrage bets yourself, you can save a lot of time by using this software. This in turn increases your profit, as you are spending more time placing bets and less time searching for arbs.

As you would expect, a program like this is highly valuable and typically comes with quite a hefty price tag.

Beginner arbitragers are often anxious about spending money on software before they are convinced that they will be able to make a decent profit.

Considering this, a number of software providers have released a free version of their program, to help potential customers try it out before coughing up the money for the premium version.

What are the Differences Between Premium and Free Arbitrage Betting Software?

Free arbitrage software typically operates in the same manner as the premium software - same interface and same features.

Note: Ready to upgrade from free to premium software? Check out this article, which compares all of the premium options, and has a number of coupons and discounts!

The real difference between them is that the free software has a number of restrictions on the feed of free arbitrage bets. These restrictions typically take the form of one or more of the following:

Time delay on the arb feed

A 15 or 20 minute delay on the arb feed is quite common.

Considering that many arbs disappear within 5 to 10 minutes of being discovered, this means that you will be receiving alerts for many arbs which no longer exist. This can be quite frustrating.

Limited profit margin per arb

The arbs displayed by the free arbitrage finders are typically limited to 1% profit margin or less. The most profitable arbs are hidden, meaning that you can only bet on the arbs with poor bang for your buck.

Limited number of bookmakers

Whilst the premium surebet finders will show you the odds from all bookies for a particular match, the free arbing software may just show you the best two bookmakers.

This means that if the odds have changed (which is very likely if a time delay is also in place), you won’t be able to use the second best odds from another bookmaker.

Limited types of arbs (middles or cross-market arbs)

Free surebet finders typically do not show advanced arb types, such as middles and cross-market arbs. If you are a beginner arbitrager, you won’t be betting on these kinds of arbs anyway, so it’s not such a big deal.

Limited number of sports

Some software limit their free versions to just a few sports. Usually there are enough sports to get started, so this is also not a major limitation.

Of these restrictions, the time delay on the arb feed is the most debilitating. This is closely followed by the limited profit margin per arb.

When evaluating free arbitrage bet finders, you are looking for the one that has the fewest restrictions, especially with regards to time delay and profit margin per arb.

What’s the #1 Free Surebet Finder?

I’ll now review and compare what I consider to be the top 5 free arbitrage betting software available.

Overall, I recommend RebelBetting as the best free arbing software. It has a superb, user friendly interface, a large number of bookmakers and sports, and no profit limit per arb. The only downside is that their trial only lasts for 14 days.

If you are in the US, OddsJam is the right one for you. It covers all major US bookmakers and is one of the cleanest, user friendly arbitrage software that I have ever seen!

Let’s dig deeper and investigate each of these options one by one.

RebelBetting - #1 Free Arbitrage Bet Finder

RebelBetting has been a stalwart of the sports arbitrage betting scene for many, many years now. They are widely considered to be the market leader when it comes to sure betting software.

But, how does their free version stack up? Let’s find out!

Pros
  • No time delay on arb feed!
  • Unlimited profit per arb
  • Access to 90 bookies
Cons
  • Only 14 day free trial period

As of late 2021, RebelBetting has moved from being a Windows desktop application to being an entirely online web application, accessible on any operating system. You no longer need to download anything to use their service.

The RebelBetting interface is very clean and uncrowded.

The sure bets that match your filters are displayed in the main part of the screen. The profit margin, match participants and odds are all displayed in a simple, easy to understand fashion.

Arbitrage bets

I like this because arbitrage betting often requires you to make a number of bets at high stakes in quick succession. A complicated layout can increase the chance of making a mistake under pressure.

Clicking on a particular arb will bring up the specifics in the arb details panel.

Arb details

You can also see the betting market depth by clicking on the ‘More bets’ button next to each arb. This will display the bookmakers that are accepting bets for that particular outcome and which match the filters you have set.

More bets

This helps greatly when determining which order you should place your bets in. It lets you know what your backup options are if the odds change suddenly, or if your bet is rejected.

As expected, there is a decent built-in arbitrage calculator that allows you to bias your stakes to favour a particular outcome, or round your stakes to avoid bookmaker suspicion. [2]

RebelBetting arbitrage calculator

RebelBetting has around 90 bookmakers, the highest of any of the major software packages. Unfortunately, it only scans for arbs on 10 sports, which is a little disappointing.

You will find fewer arbs with RebelBetting than with BetBurger, largely because they do not cover as many sports. However, the 10 sports that they do cover are the ones that produce the most arbs, so you aren’t missing out too much.

You can filter arbs by profit margin, bookmaker, betting market and more.

Filters
Sports and market filtering

There's even bet tracking as part of the software. It keeps track of all of the bets that you log in their system, then reports back to you to the profit for each individual bet along with detailed statistics, graphs and a running tally of all of the money you have made from arbitrage betting!

Bet Tracker

Overall, RebelBetting has put together an excellent sure betting software package and it is available as a free 14 day trial.

It has a very clean, uncluttered interface, but is packed with all of the necessary features for serious sure betting.

OddsJam - Top Free Arbitrage Software for US Sports Bettors

OddsJam is a relatively new startup, yet they have quickly taken the North American arbitrage betting scene by storm.

Whereas most arbitrage software focuses on European bettors, they focus on US and Canadian bettors.

Pros
  • Excellent user interface
  • Detailed bet tracking included
  • Betting statistics available
  • Middles included
  • Value betting (positive EV) included on Industry Plan
  • Can see US state specific odds
Cons
  • Arbitrage calculator doesn’t always auto-fill odds - need to add manually
  • No rounding or biasing options in arbitrage calculator
  • Arbitrage betting bookmaker comparison a little confusing
  • Reasonably expensive - need decent bankroll to make profit after monthly fee
  • Not many arbs found
  • No value betting staking calculator
  • Only 7 sports covered
  • No bet filtering

Layout and Interface

The OddsJam software is browser-based, and consists of one of the best arbitrage software interfaces that I have ever seen. Their software consists primarily of 4 sections:

  •  Odds comparison
  • Betting tools (profitable bets)
  • Calculators
  • Bet tracker

The betting tools section is where you'll spend most of your time on the OddsJam platform.

There's arbitrage bets, low-hold bets (bets where the bookmakers have low vigorish), middles and value bets (known as positive EV bets by OddsJam).

OddsJam arbitrage bets

The arbitrage betting interface is very user friendly and easy to understand at a glance. Each row represents a different match where the various bookmaker odds have resulted in one or more arbitrage bets.

Unfortunately, the bet filtering on OddsJam is not fantastic. There are limited options for filtering at the moment and I am hopeful that this is something that they address in the near future.

Features

In addition to offering middles and value bets alongside arbitrage bets, OddsJam has two other features that are worth noting - their betting calculators and bet tracker.

They have the following three calculators:

  •  Arbitrage betting calculator
  • Freeplay calculator
  • No-vig fair odds calculator

The arbitrage calculator is fairly basic when compared to European software, but it gets the job done.

OddsJam Arbitrage Betting Calculator

Input the odds and you can quickly determine the appropriate stakes. Don't expect any 3 way bets, multi-currency or bet biasing and you'll be fine.

The bet tracker, on the other hand, is one of OddsJam's great strengths. It is very detailed, providing information on stake, status, winnings, sportsbook and more for every single bet that you place and log in their tracker.

OddsJam Review

Firstly, this helps you keep track of your betting performance and see whether you are actually profiting over time, which helps give you motivation and is particularly important if you are doing positive EV betting, which can see a lot of ups and downs in terms of profit.

Secondly, the bet tracker keeps track of your account balance with each bookmaker, letting you know when your balances are running low and need topping up. Being able to see all of this from one dashboard is very, very useful.

Dashboard

Pricing

OddsJam offers 2 plans for their customers, the Arbitrage Plan and the Industry Plan (with everything they have to offer).

  • Promo Optimizer - $39/month ($25.35/month with discount*)
  • Positive EV - $199/month ($129.85/month with discount*)

For arbitrage betting, you'll need the Positive EV plan. If you are just getting started and want to try out matched betting, you can give the much cheaper Promo Optimizer plan a go.

Luckily for you, OddsJam is offering 35% off for readers of The Arb Academy! Use the button below and the code LOUIS at checkout to access this discount!

BetOnValue - Most Advanced Surebet Finder

BetOnValue has been around for a couple of decades now and is still a major name in sports arbitrage betting. However, it isn’t as popular as it once was, having been overtaken by the other software reviewed earlier.

It operates entirely in browser, with no software download required.

Pros
  • Unlimited free trial
  • Bookmaker odds comparison done well
  • Over 100 bookmakers available
  • 32 sports covered
Cons
  • 20 minute delay on arbs!
  • Limited to 1% arbs
  • User interface is a little dated

My first impressions of BetOnValue were not great. The interface was very crowded and much of the display was occupied by bookmaker logos.

Thankfully, I was able to turn off the logos and just leave the bookmaker names, but the software still seemed to load quite slowly. It’s possible that it was just my computer or internet connection though, so let me know if that wasn’t the case for you.

BetOnValue free arbitrage software

I was pleasantly surprised by the number of sure bets available; many more than I had seen with the other arbitrage software.

BetOnValue cover a large number of sports (about 32), so they are able to serve up many more arbitrage opportunities.

Upon clicking on a potential arb, you are taken to another screen which summarises all of the bookmaker odds for that match. It is quite neatly displayed, and sortable for each outcome, which is very helpful for figuring out your backup bets. I was quite impressed by this.

Free arb finder

Clicking on specific bookmaker odds brings up a small graph that gives you the history for those odds. You can get a feel for whether the odds are trending up, down, are volatile, or relatively flat.

BetOnValue review

You can also bring up a graph of the best odds for the match over the last 12 hours.

BetOnValue surebet finder

The more you explore the BetOnValue software, the more arbitrage betting features you realise it has. Unfortunately, these features aren’t obvious the first time you use it, and accessing them is not exactly intuitive.

Nevertheless, I do like the way they present the odds for each event; it makes it easy to tell at a glance whether it is safe to go after a sure bet or not.

You could do worse than choose BetOnValue as your free arbitrage software. There is no limit on the length of their free trial and they have a large number of bookmakers and sports to choose from.

However, their software loads quite slowly and the 20 minute delay on the arb feed means that you are missing out on plenty of arbitrage betting opportunities.

BetBurger - Popular Arbitrage Bet Finder

BetBurger was founded in 2015, making it a relative newcomer to the sports arbitrage betting scene, but it has quickly established itself as a major competitor.

Unlike RebelBetting, BetBurger runs entirely in your browser, meaning you don’t have to download anything at all.

Pros
  • Unlimited free trial period, you don’t even need to make an account!
  • Access to 82 bookmakers
  • Access to 34 sports
Cons
  • 1% maximum profit limit is not great, not terrible either though
  • 15 minute delay is quite long
  • User interface quite crowded
  • Poor customer service

The BetBurger layout is a little crowded at first glance, but it doesn’t take too long to get used to it.

Free arb bets are displayed in the left half of the screen, and once you click on an arb, the details will be displayed in the panel on the right half of the screen.

BetBurger free arbitrage betting software

You can see an integrated arbitrage calculator, as well as all the possible arbitrage opportunities for that match. It will show all the various bookmaker combinations, sorted by highest profit margin by default.

BetBurger review

One thing I don’t like is the way they display all of the various bookmaker odds for a particular event. Rather than listing the various outcomes and the associated odds for each bookmaker, they try to list every possible combination of bookmakers that results in an arbitrage betting opportunity.

I find that this makes it difficult to know which order to place your bets in. It’s also difficult to know how safe an arb is and how much leeway there is if one leg of the arb is rejected.

BetBurger

BetBurger allows for filtering by bookmaker, match location (good for defensive arbing), arb types, outcome types (money line, asian handicap etc.) as well as many others.

Arbs can be sorted by profit margin, age, time to match start and more.

Unfortunately, it doesn't save your filters unless you sign up for a free account, so I recommend you do that to save you from adjusting the filters every time you open their software.

It has 82 bookmakers and 34 sports enabled by default, which is the best of any arbitrage tools I’ve reviewed.

The major downside is the 15 minute delay on the arb feed which is quite long. However, as long as you adjust your filters to show stable arbs that have been around for a few hours, you will still be able to find some gems in the rough.

The 1% profit margin limit per arb is pretty much par for the course for free arbitrage software.

You can download their ‘ArbHelper’ chrome extension which allows you to open the bookmaker websites directly from the arb hunting software.

Personally, I don't really recommend the BetBurger service. The interface is quite poor and confusing, especially for beginners. Their customer service is also very poor. Despite these flaws, you will find that they are one of the most expensive services out there if you do end up upgrading to a premium subscription.

To get the most out of it, you really need to get an account so that you can customise and save your filters. Otherwise, the filters will be reset each time you load up the webpage.

You can sign up for a free account via the button below (no credit card required).

Betslayer - Free Arbing Program Without Restrictions

Betslayer was started in 2015 and has relatively quickly risen to become one of the top tier arbing software packages available.

Much like BetBurger, it operates entirely in a browser without any software to download.

Pros
  • No time delay on arb feed!
  • Access arbs up to 5% profit!
Cons
  • 7 day trial period only
  • Only 28 bookmakers

Looking at the pros and cons above, it is clear that Betslayer has gone with a different approach to the other software providers. They are offering close to a full version of their software, but for a period of 7 days only.

This means that it’s no good for long term free arbitrage betting. In any case, if you practise arbitrage betting for a week with free software, you’ll see that it makes sense to upgrade to the premium version anyway.

Opening up BetSlayer, you are greeted with a relatively clean interface. Much like BetBurger, the potential arbs are displayed along the left and the selected arb details displayed on the right.

BetSlayer free trial

The thing that struck me the most using this software was how few arbs there were. This is not surprising when you consider that Betslayer only covers 28 bookmakers, however.

They are always going to have fewer arbs than their competitors.

They counteract this by having virtually no restrictions on the arbs available in their free version.

In the arb details panel, you can see the odds available at the various bookmakers by clicking on a dropdown menu. While this is better than the BetBurger approach, it’s still not as simple and intuitive as RebelBetting.

In the arb details panel, there is a built-in arbitrage betting calculator with the ability to round stakes, as well as save the bet into the Betslayer profit tracker, which can be used to track your progress over time.

BetSlayer

There is also the ability to enable live arbs, although this is recommended for experienced arbitrage bettors only.

The BetSlayer arbing software is pretty light on features on the whole, but otherwise a decent enough option.

The 7 day limit will not appeal to those who plan on using the free software for a long time, but for those who are planning on upgrading eventually, 7 days is more than enough time to decide if you like it or not.

Access the BetSlayer free sure betting software by clicking on the button below.

OddsMonkey - Arbitrage and Matched Betting All-In-One

OddsMonkey is a site that focuses predominantly on matched betting rather than arbitrage betting, but their OddsMatcher tool can be used to find arbitrage opportunities, so I have included it here.

It runs entirely in your browser.

Pros
  • No time delay on arb feed!
  • Unlimited free trial period
  • No limit on arb profit!
  • Nice, clean interface
Cons
  • Bookmakers are extremely limited. Just Coral, Betfred and Skybet plus the exchanges
  • All arbs are between bookmakers and exchanges

The OddsMatcher was primarily developed to help punters interested in doing some matched betting (taking advantage of sign up bonuses), but it can double as an arb hunting service as well.

When you open the OddsMatcher, you will see a nice user interface that clearly shows each arb on a new row with the match details, arb rating, bookmaker and corresponding exchange prices.

The ‘arb rating’ is a little different to the probability metric that we are normally used to. For arbitrage bettors, if the probability sums to less than 100%, we have an arbitrage betting opportunity.

However, in the OddsMatcher, the arb rating refers to how much of your stake will be returned. A value greater than 100% indicates an arbitrage betting opportunity.

So, if you go to the filters tab and set a filter that only shows matches with an arb rating greater than 100%, the OddsMatcher will return arbitrage opportunities only.

Free Arbitrage Bets

So on the surface, it seems like we have the ideal free arbitrage bet finder! Unlimited free trial period, no delay on the arb feed and no limit on the profit margin per arb with a clean, easy to understand interface to boot!

Well, the major downside of the OddsMatcher is that it includes a paltry 3 bookmakers only (Coral, Betfred and Skybet), plus the exchanges.

You may have noticed in the clip above that once I set the filter to matches with an arb rating >100%, it returned a single result. Just one!

Only covering 12 sports doesn’t help matters either.

The OddsMatcher also doesn’t show any bookmaker to bookmaker arbitrage bets, only bookmaker to exchange arbs.

For a beginner, these types of arbs can be a little complicated.

Unfortunately, while there’s a lot to like about the OddsMatcher, the limited number of bookmakers cripples its effectiveness as a free arbing software.

If you are thinking of purchasing an OddsMonkey subscription anyway, definitely give the free trial a go to make sure that it is right for you!

Others?

There are a few other arbitrage betting software out there that have gained some popularity in recent times. BetWasp and Betnetto are two prime examples of these.

They are both decent enough betting software, yet they aren't good enough for me to put them in this list.

For more info on why I feel this way, check out my BetWasp review.

Summary - Free Arbitrage Software & Finders

Overall Rating

Betslayer (UK Only)

OddsMonkey (UK Only)

In summary, the top free arb finder is RebelBetting.

It has the full functionality of the premium version, just with a 0.6% limit on the profit margin per arb (although in my free version, I am shown arbs up to 1% - still not sure why).

I like the clean interface, the ease with which you can compare the bookmaker odds, the integrated arbitrage calculator and the extra features (arb reliability indicator, bookmaker password encryption).

The ability to arb in an entirely separate web browser (with cookies deleted at the start and end of each session) makes absolute sense to me from a defensive arbing standpoint.

I recommend that you download it and give it a try. Ultimately, it’s up to you though, so if you don’t like it, please try another one instead (they are free after all!).

In any case, if you are serious about arbitrage betting, you’ll soon realise that the heavy restrictions imposed on the free software renders them quite ineffective.

If you are planning on arbing heavily, you really need to upgrade to the paid tools so that you can get the real time, live feed of arbitrage betting opportunities, as well as unrestricted access to the high profit margin arbs, which can really boost your profits.
