Otherwise, you can spend hours searching for arbs and only find a handful.
You may have read other articles recommending various arbitrage betting software, but they are always looking at it from a European perspective. Many of the software packages they recommend do not even cover Nigerian bookmakers, so they are not very helpful!
Many foreign bookmakers do not accept Nigerians, so it is essential that the software you choose covers local, Nigerian bookmakers!
Let’s find out which is the best arbitrage betting software for Nigerians!
What is the Purpose of Sports Arbitrage Betting Software?
In case you are new to sports arbitrage, arbitrage betting opportunities occur when the odds provided by bookmakers for a particular match satisfy a very specific set of conditions.
If you can find high enough odds that allow you to bet on all possible outcomes of a sporting event and profit regardless of the result, you have found an arbitrage bet.
Note: Unlike betting on ‘fixed’ matches, arbitrage betting is 100% legal as it just involves placing bets with 2 or more bookmakers. As arbers, we are simply choosing the odds with the best value.
For example, if Bet9ja has different odds to NairaBET, it is possible to place a bet with both of them and profit regardless of the outcome. You can see some examples here.
The thing is, these arbitrage betting opportunities are not that common. You could spend hours and hours looking through the odds for many matches with many bookmakers and maybe only find a handful of arbitrage bets.
That’s where the sure betting software is useful.
Arbitrage betting software (aka surebet software) scans the odds for tens if not hundreds of bookmakers for many, many sports, tournaments and matches.
When it finds a potential sure bet, it will calculate the profit margin and then alert you.
The software typically has an integrated calculator that will let you know how much to bet on each side, with options for rounding or biasing your stakes. You simply click on the bet button, and the software will load up the relevant pages for that event on the bookmaker sites.
You simply confirm the stake for each site and place the bet. The more bets you place, the more you will profit.
Surebet software essentially allows you to spend (much) less time on the boring part (searching for arbs), and more time on the profitable part (placing bets)!
As you would expect, something as valuable as this doesn’t come for free!
What do Nigerians need to look for in a Sure Bet Finder?
The following things are very important when looking for the best arbitrage bet finder for you!
How many Nigerian bookmakers does it cover?
This is an important one. Many arbitrage bet finders focus on European customers only and don't bother including many African bookmakers.
Unfortunately, many European bookmakers do not accept Nigerian customers. This means that these bookmakers are essentially useless to us.
It is critical that we choose a sure bet finder that covers as many Nigerian bookmakers as possible!
How many sports does it cover?
Some arb finders cover as few as 5 sports, while others cover as many as 35! No prizes for guessing which one produces more arbs for their customers…
Note, however, that the vast majority of arbs are produced by the world’s most popular 5-10 sports, so having loads of sports is not always that much of an advantage.
Is there are delay on the arb feed?
Many arbitrage bets disappear within a few minutes of being discovered by the software packages. It is important that you are getting access to the arbitrage betting opportunities as they are being discovered.
Unfortunately, some arbitrage bet finders put a delay on the arb feed, menaing that many arbs will disappear before you ever see them.
Integrated betting calculator
The arbitrage software should include a built in betting calculator that automatically calculates the necessary stakes for each leg of the arbitrage bet to ensure that you lock in the profit.
Ideally, they should include options for rounding your stakes to avoid suspicion with the bookmakers as well as biasing your stakes to favour a particular outcome that you believe has value.
They should also allow you to use NGN in the calculator.
Defensive arbing features
As we have discussed many times, having your accounts limited or closed is one of the greatest risks for an arbitrage bettor. Some arbitrage betting software now have features to hide your arbitrage activity.
This can include separate dedicated web browsers only for betting (to stop the bookmakers tracking you via social media and other trackers) as well as automatic cookie and cache clearing at the start and end of each betting session.
Having these features will again prolong your career as an arbitrage bettor, so they are definitely worthwhile having.
The most important thing to look out for is the number of supported Nigerian bookmakers.

Overall I recommend BreakingBet for Nigerian arbers. At €12 per month, they are much more affordable than RebelBetting.
They also offer betting exchanges arbs and a real time arb feed (which RebelBetting Lite does not).
If you are new to sports arbitrage betting, BreakingBet is a great way to get started.
It is a great budget friendly option that will still get the job done for you. It covers the major Nigerian bookmakers, displays arbs as they are found and can be run entirely in your browser without any software to download.
However, I recommend RebelBetting if you are serious about sports arbitrage betting and are interested in using many foreign bookmakers.
RebelBetting has an excellent, clean interface, covers many more foreign bookmakers and offers many defensive arbitrage features (dedicated web browser for betting, automatic cookie clearing).
The main downside of RebelBetting is that only arbitrage bets older than 30 minutes are shown. Although when looking at the available arbs in BreakingBet, most of them are older than 2 hours, so it may not make a great deal of difference.

RebelBetting Lite Review
RebelBetting has been a stalwart of the sports arbitrage betting scene for many, many years now. They are widely considered to be the market leader when it comes to arbitrage betting software.
RebelBetting Lite is a restricted version of their software for a significantly reduced price. RebelBetting is offering a special price of €19/month for Nigerian customers!
The RebelBetting software is a 50MB download that runs as a standalone program on your computer.
Note: RebelBetting does not have a native Mac compatible version. To run on Mac, you must download a separate program that allows you to run a virtual PC. Alternatively, you must use Bootcamp. For more info, check out this page:
It also does not run on mobile phones.
Interface and Layout
My favourite thing about RebelBetting is that the interface is very clean and uncrowded.
The arbitrage bets that match your filters are displayed in the main part of the screen. The profit margin, match participants, bet type and odds are all displayed in a simple, easy to understand fashion.
I like this because arbitrage betting often requires you to make a number of bets at high stakes in quick succession. A complicated layout can increase the chance of making a mistake under pressure.
Clicking on a particular arb will bring up the specifics in the ‘Arb Details’ panel on the left.
You can also see the betting market depth by clicking on the ‘+’ icon next to each arb. This will display the bookmakers that are accepting bets for that particular outcome and which match the filters you have set.
This helps greatly when determining which order you should place your bets in. It lets you know what your backup options are if the odds change suddenly, or if your bet is rejected.
Features
As expected, there is a decent built-in arbitrage calculator that allows you to bias your stakes to favour a particular outcome, or round your stakes to avoid bookmaker suspicion.
You can enter NGN as your currency in this integrated arbitrage calculator.
RebelBetting has around 90 bookmakers, including the following Nigerian bookmakers:
- 1xBET - note that they accept Nigerian customers but they apparently show different prices to different customers so it can be difficult to arb with them.
- Bet9ja
- Merrybet
- Nairabet
- Netbet
You will slightly find more arbs with RebelBetting than with BreakingBet because they cover so many foreign bookmakers. You can filter the bookmakers to only show those who accept Nigerian customers to ensure that you are only seeing arbs that you can bet on.
You can also filter arbs by profit margin and betting market.
The software also gives you an estimate of the arb reliability, which is essentially an indicator of the likelihood that one of the bookmakers will void your bet (due to palpable error or similar). I quite like this feature, and it’s good that you can filter arbs by reliability too.
RebelBetting also allows you to place your bets directly from their software, which acts as its own web browser. This keeps all of your betting activity separate from your web browsing, which prevents the bookmakers from tracking you with cookies.
There is also the ability to bet through a proxy, to further disguise your activity. These are excellent defensive arbing features.
Overall, RebelBetting has put together an excellent arbitrage betting software package. It has a very clean, uncluttered interface, but is packed with most of the necessary features for serious arbing.
The main downsides are that RebelBetting Lite only displays arbs that are older than 30 minutes. As some arbs disappear within minutes of being found by the arbitrage bet finders, this can mean that some arbs will disappear before they ever appear on RebelBetting Lite.
The other downside is that betting exchange prices are not shown in RebelBetting Lite, meaning that there are no bookmaker to exchange arbs.
Pricing
RebelBetting Lite has been discontinued, which means that Nigerians have to use the much more expensive RebelBetting starter plan, which costs €99. This means that Breaking Bet is a much better option.

BreakingBet Review
BreakingBet has been around since 2016 and they offer a very budget friendly arbitrage bet finder that I think is very suitable for Nigerian customers.
Interface and Layout
The BreakingBet interface is fairly straightforward and simple (that’s a good thing!).
Arbitrage bets are displayed in rows, sorted by profit margin by default (displayed in the top left hand corner).
The age of the arbitrage bet, bookmakers, start time of the match and the teams involved are also on the left.
The relevant odds and the betting market type are displayed on the right.
Overall it is quite good, but I find the way that the various bookmaker odds are displayed for a particular match a little confusing. I would prefer it all bookmaker odds for a particular match would be displayed in a table, like RebelBetting.
Features
You can filter the arbs displayed by bookmaker, which means that you can just select bookmakers that accept Nigerian customers.
The following Nigerian bookmakers are supported on BreakingBet:
- 1xBET
- Bet9ja
- Merrybet
- NaijaBet
- NairaBet
- SportyBet
Arbs can also be filtered by sport type, betting market type and profit margin.
They also have an integrated arbitrage betting calculator that allows you to calculate your stakes for each bet. The calculator allows the use of NGN.
BreakingBet also includes value bets for free. If you aren’t sure what these are, don’t worry, they are not recommended for beginners. If you are a more experienced arber, you might be interested in taking advantage of this.
Otherwise, BreakingBet doesn’t have many features but it’s certainly enough to get started with sports arbitrage betting.
Pricing
BreakingBet is currently available for €12 per month, which is quite bit cheaper than RebelBetting.
If you are on a budget and want to try out an arbitrage bet finder without spending a lot of money, I recommend that you try Breaking Bet to begin with.

If you are serious about placing many arbitrage bets each month, RebelBetting can be a good option as it has a number of features to disguise your arbitrage activity from the bookmakers and prolong your sports arbitrage career.
Otherwise, if you are a beginner or just interested in placing a few arbitrage bets every now and then, I recommend Breaking Bet!

This is a common problem. Essentially, you need to spend a lot of time in front of your computer to be able to bet on most arbs before they disappear. If you already spend a lot of time in front of your computer, you may be able to set up desktop notification alerts when arbitrage bets are found – it depends on the software you are using.

Hi Eben, most bookmakers will settle your bets within minutes of a match concluding (or the condition of the bet otherwise being reached). You can definitely use the same capital to place multiple bets a day with the same bookmaker. Place as many bets as you feel comfortable with, but start slow and place more bets once you feel comfortable that you understand how everything works. This will reduce your chances of making mistakes and losing money.

Unfortunately I don’t know which service is best for Ghanaians. I recommend that you make a list of the bookmakers that operate in Ghana, then try to find which service covers a decent number of these bookies.
Please why when I disable the bookings rule option in breaking bet, the profits for arbs go up to 24, 23. But profit percentage falls to 4 or 3 when bookings rule is enabled
