Over the last few months, a number of new arbitrage and value betting software have entered the market. Bet Hero is one of those, and in this review we’re going to take a look at whether they are a worthwhile option or not.
What Is Bet Hero?
Like all of the other software I review here on The Arb Academy, Bet Hero is designed to help you make money from online sports betting.
They track the odds at over 200 sportsbooks for thousands of matches, tournaments and leagues. They then compare all of these odds against each other to identify mispriced odds that you can capitalise on to gain an edge over the bookmaker.
They offer both arbitrage and value betting software as part of their package.
It’s worth noting that they use a weighted market average of sharp books and exchanges such as Pinnacle, Circa, Betfair, Matchbook and others to determine what they consider to be ‘fair odds’. This is the yardstick they use for finding value bets.

Pros & Cons
Here’s a quick summary of the pros and cons of Bet Hero, relative to the other software options out there on the market.
Interface
The Bet Hero interface is fairly clean and intuitive to use. Overall I like it, though it seems to force you to use dark mode, and doesn’t work on mobile and tablet devices at the moment, which will frustrate some users.
It consists of the following main screens:
- Home
- Value Bets
- Arbitrage / Surebets
- Tracker
Let’s take a look at each of them.
Home
The home screen greets you once you log into the app. From here, you can see a graph of your profit over time, along with key stats, like total return, number of bets placed and won, average stake and average profit per bet.
You can also see a profit breakdown by sportsbook, as well as a calendar view showing profit by day.
Value Bets
The value bets screen shows a list of value bets that pass your selected filters. Bets are displayed in a table with each row representing a particular value bet.
Everything you would expect is displayed here, including expected value (as a percentage), event/league name, bet type, odds, sportsbooks and starting time. There’s also a button to hide individual value bets.
Bets are sorted by EV by default, but you can sort them any way you like.
Clicking on an individual bet will bring up a more detailed screen showing interesting information such as market vig, recommended bet size (using half Kelly criterion staking by default), followed by a breakdown of bookmaker odds.
I like the use of the ‘fair odds line’ when showing the various bookmaker odds, as this makes it immediately obvious which bookmakers you can place a profitable with.
It’s also worth noting that they include a ‘fair odds’ price here, which is a weighted market average of a number of sharp books and betting exchanges. This lets you do value betting even with soft bookmakers that aren’t supported by Bet Hero, much like you can with Pinnacle Odds Dropper.
Finally, there is a button to track your bet once you’ve placed it, which is a feature we’ll discuss in more detail shortly.
Arbitrage / Surebets
This page is where you can access the arbitrage bets that Bet Hero has found. Much like the value betting page, there’s a list of bets which meet your filter criteria, presented in table form.
Upon clicking on a bet, you can bring up a more detailed page, which includes a list of the potential sportsbooks that can be used to form the arbitrage bet.
Unlike the value betting details page, you choose your own total stake, which the software then uses to calculate individual stakes for each leg of the arbitrage bet.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any stake rounding options here, so you’ll need to do this yourself. You also can’t skew the stakes to favour a particular outcome.
Again, you can track each leg of the bet using the ‘Track’ button.
Tracker
Speaking of bet tracking, you can see a summary of all bets you’ve tracked through Bet Hero over on this screen.
It lists all of the key information, including odds, stake and bet outcome. This is used to calculate your overall win/loss performance, as listed on the home page.
An interesting feature here is the ability to track transactions (ie. deposits and withdrawals) with individual bookmakers. This allows you to easily keep track of your balance across many different sportsbooks.
Filters
Filtering is an important part of any profitable betting software, as it lets you hone in on exactly the kind of bets that you’re interested in.
You need to be able to filter bets by those which include bookmakers that you have active accounts with, as well as those sports, leagues and tournaments where you think you can stay under the radar and avoid gubbing.
Whilst Bet Hero does let you filter by bookmaker and sport, it doesn’t allow for tournament and league filtering, which is a slight drawback.
For arbitrage and surebets, Bet Hero lets you filter based on the odds range and profit percentage.
For value bets, you can filter by expected value, winning probability, market vig and wager percentage.
I recommend keeping the expected value number reasonably low to avoid detection and reduce the likelihood of your bets being cancelled (this can happen if the bookmaker claims that they made a mistake with their odds).
Discord Community
When you sign up to a Bet Hero plan, you also get access to their Discord channel, where you can discuss betting strategies with fellow sports bettors.
There’s a wide variety of channels, and the Bet Hero team are very active in the discussions.
Users discuss everything from promos to sportsbooks to current value and arbitrage bets. You can ask questions and get help from other users or the Bet Hero team themselves.
Alerts
Speaking of alerts, Bet Hero allows you to receive arbitrage and value bet alerts directly in Discord, thanks to a feature they call 'X-Ray'. You can set up your filters in Bet Hero, then link your Discord and start receiving alerts there so that you don't miss a single bet!

Pricing
Bet Hero is priced at €99 per month for a monthly subscription, or about €800 per year, which works out to €66 per month. A 3 day free trial is available on signup.
This is comparable to other value betting software out there, meaning it’s not particularly cheap, but not particularly expensive either.
However, when you consider the large number of bookmakers and sports covered, the strong Discord community, the fair odds pricing, and the bet tracking, I think that the Bet Hero pricing is pretty reasonable.
Even better, you can use the button below to claim a 20% discount on your Bet Hero subscription.

Conclusion
While still a relatively new entrant to the arbitrage and value betting software market, Bet Hero has quickly shown that it has all of the features needed to make it a serious contender.
Bet Hero is a simple, yet feature filled tool designed to help you profit from sports betting. It's backed by a strong community on Discord and an engaged founder.
Louis
The Arb Academy
The large number of bookmakers and sports covered means that it will appeal to sports bettors in just about any country, and the fair odds pricing means that you can use it to do value betting even with bookmakers that Bet Hero doesn’t support.
The Discord community is also another big drawcard, and something that many of Bet Hero’s competitors don’t offer.
When you combine this with the 20% off discount, Bet Hero becomes a very attractive option. I highly recommend it to those who are after a tool that not only offers many profitable bets, but also a vibrant community of fellow sports bettors.
